Owners of a beloved family-run restaurant, deeply impacted by the pandemic, chose to realign their business around their true passion - wine!
In collaboration with interior design studio Design Penguin, C Scerri Architects transformed their cherished restaurant and events venue into a family home, with integrated commercial use, so that the owners may continue to operate their business in an enjoyable and sustainable way.
The original Hanse-Haus building has been thoughtfully and sensitively reconfigured, ensuring that new interventions remain true to its character, while enhancing the experience of its beautiful surroundings. Internally, the transformation introduces a new kitchen, ensuite bathrooms and specially tailored carpentry designed to seamlessly blend functionality with the home's evolving identity.
